Sue brings more than twenty-five years of teaching experience across public and private K–12 schools as well as higher education. Before entering full-time education, she worked in corporate software engineering and later became an internationally award-winning leader in STEM Education. Her background includes successful educational business ownership, classroom teaching, and speaking at local and national conferences. She continues to serve school districts and national organizations by providing professional development in Literacy, Robotics, and Engineering Education, and she is frequently invited to present for elementary schools, educational groups, and BOCES programs.
In the classroom, Sue’s greatest passion is nurturing the natural curiosity and risk-taking mindset of young learners. Teaching first grade is truly her God-given calling. One of the greatest joys of serving at NCA is the opportunity to share daily Bible lessons with her students. Helping children grow both spiritually and academically is a blessing she cherishes deeply.
Outside the classroom, Sue and her husband of over 45 years love creating a warm, festive home—especially when decorating for each season and hosting friends and family for evenings of food, games, and meaningful conversation. A dedicated home cook, she enjoys researching and experimenting with healthy, whole foods recipes. Sue has also spent many years involved in Christian dance ministry and continues to direct dance productions for churches and community outreaches. In addition, she shares her love of cooking by offering classes through her church ministry programs.
