Education
Grove City College - Bachelor of Science in Math & Science Education

Rachel grew up in Rochester, NY and graduated from Greece Athena High School in 2013. She then attended Grove City College in Pennsylvania, where she spent time serving in a ministry reaching at-risk young men at George Junior Republic, a residential correctional facility. Throughout these years, Rachel began to understand the importance of Christian education, and her desire was directed toward helping young people learn to love truth, goodness, and beauty. Immediately following graduation, she returned to Rochester and began substitute teaching at Northstar Christian Academy, where she now serves as a High School English teacher. She is a firm believer in the unique ability of great literature to convey virtues and truths, and she is thankful for the opportunity she has each day to share her love of language and literature with her students.

When not at school, Rachel enjoys swimming, painting, biking, and generally being outside. She loves to read, and has been most influenced by the works of Anthony Esolen and Elisabeth Elliot. Some of her favorite times are those spent with her family, whether hiking, boating, playing board games, or simply talking till the wee hours of the morning. Rachel is constantly amazed at the ways God reveals himself through the little things. She is a lover of edifying conversations, coffee, poetry, waterfalls and wildflowers.

Son, Nate, and fiancé, Sarah – our wonderful new daughter!
