Olivia grew up in Orchard Park, NY before moving to Rochester in 2015. After earning her Bachelors degree, she taught at the secondary level in the Rochester City School District and in the Greece Central School district before joining the staff at Northstar in 2022. She has a background in self contained special education and social studies education. She enjoys teaching history through different lenses and perspectives. Olivia uses a variety of primary and secondary sources in her classroom to bring history into the hands of her students. She is enthusiastic about providing students with diverse learning opportunities to reach beyond their goals.

Olivia and her family are actively involved in their church and are passionate about children's ministry. They run the high school youth group at their church and help with different Christian outreach efforts to love on their community. Olivia and her family spend their summers serving on staff at a Christian summer camp for 7 weeks, and also help with off-season operations of the camp. When she's not working with kids and teenagers, she enjoys being with friends and family, indoor rock climbing, camping in their pop-up trailer, listening to a good podcast, or walking with her dog.
