Mike grew up in Henrietta and attended Nothstar Christian Academy K-5th. After Mike graduated High School, he attended Monroe Community College. Once Mike completed 2 years of his Physical Education degree, he accepted a career with the Rochester Police Department in 2001. Mike was involved with instructing various police topics in his career. He retired in 2021.

Mike likes to spend time with his wife Erin and his children, Kennedy, Carter, and Jackson. Mike also enjoys the outdoors. Mike likes to hunt, fish with his children, and camping. Mike also enjoys going to his children's sporting events. His two boys play travel soccer for Chili.
