Page 1 of 2 On September 29th the 1-6 grade students were honored for their participation in the 2008 Summer Reading Program from May 30-September 5. The summer reading program challenges 1-6 grade students to keep track of their pages read over the summer on a reading log. Each grade was given a goal of how many pages to read and the rest was up to the students to follow through. As a result of their diligence, the students read 129,423 pages!!!!!! We had 70 participants with 54 students meeting their goal. All students that participated received a certificate of participation with a free kids meal to the Red Robin Restaurant and a free frosty from Wendy’s. Those students that met their goal received an additional free Friendly’s kid’s meal and a $5.00 gift card to Barnes and Noble. We also recognized 7 students that read the most pages in their grade. Those students were Aaliyah Pennie, Collin Nasso, Corban VanOrnum, Victoria Davis, Nathan Cannon, Jasmine Moussa and Morgan Van Ornum.
